The newest installment in my plant inspired series “In Bloom” has been taken from images of sea life. These two pieces came from different aspects of sea grass, coral, and sea anemones. I wanted them to feel suspended, as if they were living in the aquatic environment which they were inspired.
I feel that these pieces have been good additions to my series but I need to do a little bit more exploration. I feel that there’s still a hole, some connecting idea that I haven’t touched on yet. Until then, I shall tackle my other issue: glazing.
